Fidelity Investments is obligated by law to maintain your assets for you and you alone. With Fidelity as your independent custodian you can be certain that no one – not even your investment advisor – can reach the assets in your investment accounts but you.

Account Protection

Your investment accounts are protected by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), as well as by private excess SIPC insurance that Fidelity provides. Taken together, SIPC and excess SIPC insurance offer the best account insurance available at any broker. Such insurance is intended to ensure delivery to you upon demand of the full balance of your account. It is not intended to cover fluctuations in value in your account due to changes in market value. The investments in your account will fluctuate in value, and as with any investment loss of principal is possible.
