Thomas L. Posey, CFP, J.D., AAMS

Tom Posey is the founder and president of Posey Capital Management. He is an attorney and accountant as well as a Certified Financial Planner^® and an Accredited Asset Management Specialist.

Formerly a faculty member at Rice University's School of Continuing Studies, Tom taught in the university's Certified Financial Planner certification education program, instructing on topics including retirement planning, estate planning, education funding, insurance, income taxes and investments. Tom also has lectured at the University of Houston Law Center on trusts, estate planning and asset protection.

Tom's career includes ten years as chief financial officer of the Gearench Tools division of Orbix Corporation, an international oil field equipment manufacturer, where he was responsible for accounting and tax matters, as well as the acquisition of businesses and product lines. His legal career includes an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and other business matters. He previously was with Hutcheson & Grundy, LLP, a regional business law firm in Houston.

Tom attended Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where he graduated in 1979 with bachelor's degrees in business administration and psychology. He earned his law degree in 1991 from The University of Texas School of Law in Austin.

In his spare time, Tom and his wife Šárka enjoy playing with their young son. Tom also loves reading, mostly history.

After his experience in the US Navy's Leaders to Sea program, Tom recently launched his separate "Go Navy" Web site to honor and promote the Navy.

Jeff Eschman, CFP, P.E.

Jeff Eschman is the firm's director of planning. He also is a registered professional engineer.

Jeff founded his own fee-only financial advisory firm before joining Posey Capital Management. Prior to entering the financial planning profession, he enjoyed a successful 15-year engineering and project management career in the energy industry. During that time, he gained valuable experience in management, finance, economics, budgeting, cost management, long-term planning and risk control.

Jeff graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. In their free time, he and his wife Jill enjoy traveling internationally and sailing on Galveston Bay.

Danielle LaMarche, Registered Planner

Dani LaMarche, Registered Paraplanner^®, is currently completing her business degree from the University of Houston with a concentration in finance. She helps coordinate office operations, providing excellent service to the firm's clients. Her previous experience includes administrative support roles at companies located in Austin and Houston. In her spare time, Dani enjoys distance running and Bikram yoga.

Šárka Posey, Registered Planner

Šárka Posey founded the company with her husband Tom and served as its operations manager for several years, leaving in 2007 to become a full-time mom. Born in the Czech Republic, Šárka was graduated in 1989 from Umelecko Prumyslova Skola in Prague. In 2001, she earned her bachelor's degree in information systems management from the University of Houston, where she graduated summa cum laude. Šárka earned her Registered Paraplanner^® designation in 2002.
