Posey is a member of the Texas State Bar, and formerly
of the State Bar of California (now inactive). Posey
also is a member of the National Association of Personal
Financial Advisors (NAPFA). Membership in NAPFA is
permitted only for fee-only
advisors whose comprehensive financial planning services
have passed a peer review of other fee-only advisors.
NAPFA members are required to take 30 hours of continuing
education annually – twice the requirement for
non-member Certified Financial Planners. As a NAPFA-registered
financial advisor, Mr. Posey has taken a fiduciary
oath requiring good faith and loyalty to the client
and prohibiting any conflicts of interest.
